I teach vocal music to a diverse group of music students at a public, Title One, visual and performing arts high school in downtown Los Angeles. Students come from all over the city to receive a top-notch education in both academics and their chosen art form (music, dance, visual, or theater). Many of them go on to study at some of the top, academic colleges and art schools across the country.
All students build their creativity, self-expression, and confidence through music literacy and performances.
My Project
My students have the opportunity to participate in a virtual choir festival this spring. In this event students will share virtual performances with other choirs (in Zoom groups from 2-3 other schools) and receive educational feedback from music adjudicators. This experience will be a great chance for students to connect virtually with singers at other schools while also learning about how to be better musicians and performers.
Your donation will pay for the entrance fee for students to attend one of these virtual festivals.
This opportunity is another chance for students to be engaged and inspired as they continue with online learning. Thank you so much for considering my project!
