Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class of 5th and 6th graders are a group of diverse learners that all need something different from school. Many of my students qualify for free/reduced lunch.

My classroom is full of diverse, excited learners who need a wide range of resources to learn.

My goal is to create a caring classroom community, even virtually, where my students feel valued and feel a sense of belonging. My students teach me just as much as I teach them.

My Project

This class set of books would help my 5th graders better understand the Revolutionary War. Because we are learning virtually, these books will be sent home with students to help them learn virtually but still experience how to conduct a novel study.

Even though we are learning virtually this year, I still want to provide my students with the same quality education that they would get in the classroom.

With resources from Teachers Pay Teachers, I will be able to buy virtual resources that I am unable to make. I will also use my iPad to create work for students and virtual notetaking. The keyboard will help me to achieve this more seamlessly.
