Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are curious and eager to learn new things, and they love moving around. My school is a Title I school. Many of our families qualify for free or reduced-rate lunches.

Our school promotes a positive learning environment for all students especially during the current pandemic.

I am the virtual teacher and my kiddos need more social and emotional support than ever before.

I want to make the most of virtual learning and to do so, I need a few additional items for our class. Sitting at my computer all day is causing me to hunch over. I would love a laptop stand so that I can sit up straight and communicate face to face with my sweet kiddos. I have also requested a green screen. This will be for classroom engagement. I plan to use it to incorporate images that support our learning and understanding of content.

My Project

During our current pandemic, I have been assigned as the virtual teacher. I am meeting face to face with my sweet kiddos for 6 hours a day. I would love to use the laptop stand and green screen to actively engage my students during our daily meetings.

More than ever, these kiddos need their educational experience to be fun and engaging, but also academically challenging.

These kiddos need to feel like part of a classroom community while learning from the safety of their home. Your support will guarantee that my students receive quality instruction each day.
