Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students work hard every day to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. They thrive on encouragement and recognition, and I want to create a VIP Desk (or Student of the Week Desk) to celebrate their achievements! Whether it’s for outstanding effort, kindness, leadership, or improvement, this special space will be a motivating reward that makes students feel valued and excited to learn.

I already have a dedicated VIP Desk, but I want to make it truly special with a comfy chair, pencil toppers, journals.

It will be a space where the Student of the Week can feel celebrated and invite a friend to join them. Each week, one student is chosen as the Student of the Week based on their effort, kindness, leadership, or growth. As a reward, they earn the VIP Desk!

The Student of the Week will get to:

Sit at the special VIP Desk for the entire week

Invite a classmate to sit beside them at the desk

Use fun supplies (colorful pens, highlighters, and notepads)

Enjoy a comfy chair, desk mat, and special décor

Wear a VIP badge or lanyard to show off their status

Receive small rewards & privileges (stickers, bookmarks, or an extra recess coupon)

Write in a special journal about why they were chosen and what they learned

This desk will be a daily incentive that encourages students to take pride in their work and behavior. Your generosity will help me create a positive and motivating classroom culture where students strive to be their best!

With your help, I can turn this vision into reality. This VIP Desk will boost confidence, encourage leadership, and create a classroom environment where students feel recognized and celebrated. Thank you for helping me make learning fun, engaging, and rewarding!
