This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are coming from a district where they are in temporary housing and low-income. We are a Title I school where Art supports the needs of the children who otherwise wouldn't have access to this type of a program. It provides critical thinking, historical information, and visual literacy that enhances their awareness and education of the arts.

My Project

This year due to budget cuts and the lack of Teacher's Choice, there is no budget for art supplies. Currently, the students are unable to create Art at home because they are remote and I do not have enough supplies to send home with them.

I am utilizing whatever is in the classroom but the supplies are over two years old!!!

I really need your help in getting this project funded so that I can provide my students with the best, newest supplies. Our scholars have a really good eye for art projects but the lack of materials is making it difficult for me to engage them in each lesson.

Kwik Stix are perfect for all learners regardless of their age. As a Pre-K - 5th grade Art specialist, I find these to be the best products that are fun, engaging, and visually enhancing. The scratch pads will enable me to provide differentiation for kids who need a different type of art. I want to be able to help them access art is all different ways!
