My Project

Dear DonorsChoose,

I am an eighth-grade special education teacher responsible for two small special education classes and one general education class, totaling 36 scholars.

Our primary focus is on the challenging but crucial Algebra 1 curriculum, aiming to equip my students with essential mathematical skills.

In reaching out to you, I present a proposal that seeks to elevate the learning experience for my students and cultivate a more organized and vibrant classroom environment. My profound passion for providing quality education drives this initiative, and I firmly believe that with your support, we can make a significant impact on the educational journey of these young minds.

A central goal of this proposal is to enhance the visual aids and learning resources available to my students. To achieve this, I am requesting assistance in acquiring a high-quality tank printer. This printer will empower me to produce colorful anchor charts and materials that effectively reinforce the lessons taught. The ability to create visually engaging printouts on demand is expected to significantly aid in the understanding and retention of complex algebraic concepts.

Beyond academic materials, the requested funds will contribute to securing essential writing materials, storage solutions, and establishing a vibrant bulletin board display within the classroom. Research indicates that creating a visually appealing environment is not only aesthetically pleasing but also has a positive impact on student engagement and motivation.

Moreover, the acquisition of the printer will enable me to capture precious moments in the classroom by taking photos of my students. These photos will serve the dual purpose of personalizing our learning space and showcasing the achievements of my wonderful students on bulletin boards, fostering a sense of pride and community.
