My Students

My students are so unique in their own special way. My students in my class come from a very rough part in Brooklyn. Despite the many challenges they face everyday, they come to school with a smile on their face.

My students are very happy kids who love having a great time and learn new things.

They enjoy reading, dancing, singing, exploring their environment, and going on fun trips. Most of students live in single family homes or foster care. I try my best to make every moment count within the classroom. Together we are learning its the small things that count the most and make the biggest difference!

My Project

My students have been asking for tablets for such a long time! The tables and headphones will be used to listen to stories, nursery rhymes, and play educational games. This will help to enhance SOME math/literacy skills, increase the excitement of learning, create an extra center in the classroom, and so much more!

The polaroid camera would be used to document students progress and activities RIGHT ON THE SPOT!

The pictures of the students are used to display around the classroom and bulletin boards. When the students see their pictures, they get so excited! These pictures serve as a lasting memory in our classroom which turns into wonderful intellectual conversation.

My classroom loves to paint! Therefore, paint is always the first supply to run OUT! The "Talking Microscope" would be a great addition to our science area. This new item will spark great conversation between peers and adults. This will also create some independence because of the high interest my students have for nature.
