My Project

Vending Machine Startup: Project-Based Learning Activity

In this project-based learning activity, high school students will work together to create a startup business centered around a vending machine company.

The project will guide students through the process of conceptualizing, designing, and launching a vending machine business, including researching target markets, selecting products, understanding pricing strategies, and marketing their business. Students will collaborate in teams, taking on roles such as product development, marketing, finance, and operations, providing them with hands-on experience in entrepreneurship.

The instructional materials—presentation boards, folders, a laminating machine, and pouches—will significantly enhance student learning by allowing them to present their business ideas in a professional, organized manner. The presentation boards will provide a platform for students to visually communicate their business concepts, product designs, and market research findings. Folders will help them organize business plans, market analyses, and financial documents, making it easier for students to manage the details of their projects. The laminating machine and pouches will allow students to create durable, polished presentations and marketing materials, helping them demonstrate professionalism and attention to detail in their final project.

Goals for the Project:

1. Entrepreneurial Skills

2. Collaboration and Teamwork

3. Practical Application

4. Creativity and Innovation

What makes my diverse group of learners special is their unique backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, which contribute to a rich and collaborative learning environment. These students represent a wide range of talents, interests, and abilities, and this project allows them to tap into their strengths, whether in design, communication, or analytical thinking. The hands-on nature of this project, combined with the use of various instructional materials, will empower each student to contribute meaningfully to the project and develop valuable skills for their future academic and career pursuits.
