This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Physical activity is one of most important parts of anyone's life, yet it is also the most neglected. With the life of TV and video games, students are more likely to stay home and not be active. My program consists of cardio, exercises and a variety of sports that promotes a healthy lifestyle.

My students are a great group of kids who are very hard working.

Our school focuses on families with low income and tries to give each student the education they deserve. Even though we do not have much, the students use the materials they are given and do the very best they can with them.

My Project

The reason for this project is to provide and teach students that there are more activities and sports to play than the ones they are accustomed to. By the middle of the year, we have taught every sport and sometimes for the students, they would get tired of playing the same sport all over again. My goal is to keep the program fresh for the students as the year goes by. I also want students to play sports they have never played before. For example, despite having two NHL hockey teams in Florida, there hasn't been a school I have been a part of or I have seen that has taught hockey in the state. I want to change that. I want students to experience sports they never dreamed of playing, and with the hope that they may even enjoy it.

I want to be able to bring a variety of sports and activities to my class that no PE class has done before.
