Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

After a year and a half of at home learning, my students are eager to get back on campus for a more hands on learning experience. The majority of my students come from a low socioeconomic section of the East Los Angeles area. My students are from predominantly Latino backgrounds, and are on the free lunch program. My students will love to get their hands on new dual language books to help support their new found knowledge.

My Project

My school is about to embark on our 3rd year of Spanish dual language program. I would like to provide my dual language students with access to both some traditional and familiar stories, along with some new and exciting titles.

These new books will help reinforce what our students are learning in the classroom.

Limited library funding sources makes it hard to purchase this books for our students, your support will go a long way in making these books available to my students. Even the most reluctant reader will be excited to come and see what new books we have for them.
