Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The CHS Robotics Team makes Valentines for Veterans each year to support those who are currently in the VA hospital in New Jersey. We have partnered with them to create these Valentines bags which will contain red, white, and blue Hershey's Kisses.

Each student will write a Thank You Note to a veteran on the Cutout Hears, fill the bag with the Hershey's Kisses, seal the bag with the red zipties, and add the pin to the outside.

We also have heart stickers and thank you for your service stickers from last year's project we will utilize to make these bags festive.

We would like to make at least 200 bags. Each student on our team will make 10 bags as part of our community service project. This project teaches kindness and respect for those who have served our country. It also creates a sense of gratitude towards the veterans and helps them take pride in our country.
