My Project
Many of my student artists work with clay during the year but my Ceramics students work with clay on a daily basis, and they need to use our kilns to transform their brittle clay pieces into solid works of art. Along the way the kilns and kiln room are covered in bits of clay. These pieces tend to gather in the very bottom of the kilns and corners of the room. Both of these places are hard to get at for a thorough cleaning.
Fortunately for us, shop vacs are now made with Hepa filters, and they have cordless options, both of which meet our needs perfectly.
The filter keeps small clay particles out of the air we breathe and the cordless option lets us work without 20 feet of trip-inducing extension cords.
