My Students

I teach 29 fourth grade students, ages 9 and 10! They are unique individuals with a variety of talents, abilities, needs, characteristics, personalities, academic abilities, and learning styles. For some of my students, learning comes easy, and for other students, academics is challenging! I want to empower each student with an attitude that they can learn and accomplish anything they want to if they put their mind to it! I am creating activities, strategies, and lessons to engage all learners!

My students are special because they are kind, thoughtful, and are learning to be leaders.

They come into the classroom every day with positive attitudes, eager to learn! It's wonderful to see students be responsible for their own learning, engaged in activities, exploring, discovering and thinking about their thinking!

My students have determination, motivation, and potential for greatness! Their excitement shows as they enter the classroom with happy smiles, positive energy, and a love for learning!

My Project

The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Using the whiteboards for guided practice allows me to see exactly what they know, what they don't understand, and what I need to reteach. This is a fast and easy way to assess students, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. Students love using these whiteboards, erasers, and markers because they take pride in their math drawings, their math pictures, and they can visually see their own thinking and use their drawings to help their peers in a meaningful and conceptual way. Students also love to show their learning through art projects and research!

By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement, and engagement in learning.

These donated supplies will allow my students to express their academic learning using a variety of materials and resources that are engaging and interactive.
