My Students

I am a special education teacher. I teach multiple grades. My students require intensive instruction. All of my students are performing far below grade standards. Each year I attend various workshops relating to content areas to find various methodologies to integrate into the class.

"By embracing and integrating technology in the classroom, we are setting our students up for a successful life outside of school.

Here are a few benefits of using it." The population that I teach are from a low economic community and are enrolled in a Title 1 school. In addition, many students do no have access to a laptop or computer at home. I have accumulated many digital resources that would assist students in gaining a better understanding in contents being taught. However, the scholars do not have access to the materials due to the lack of adequate technology in the classroom. In the area of Math, I would like to use digital resources to meet the diverse needs of my students. For instance, students would greatly benefit from viewing reteaching videos relating to a content being taught and working on skills that they need to improve on.

My Project

I believe that the use of technology with instruction will greatly enhance students learning and engagement in Math. All of my students are 2 or more grade levels below in Math. By having adequate technology in the classroom, I feel that students will have the opportunity work on needed skills that will help them move towards to closing the gap on their math levels.

Students are being geared towards becoming college and/or career ready students.

In order to help them succeed, I feel that technology plays an important role to their learning. The use of technology will also provide differentiated instruction where students needs can be met.
