This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I absolutely LOVE using technology in my class, however with budget cuts and restricted use, it is becoming more and more difficult to provide my students with the technology that interests and engages them.

My 7th graders, like most others out there, are very in tune with the digital world.

I would like to use this to my advantage in order to reach them on a level they understand. They are very in touch with social media and electronic devices, and for that reason have an amazing abundance of technology at their fingertips and are eager to use it in the classroom. I would love to use this to my advantage and have them use it appropriately within the classroom in order to be successful in their academic career!

My Project

By receiving the projector and Apple TV, I would be able to have the much-guarded attention of my students as well as provide them with opportunities to use technology in order to show their learning and understanding of the world of science! Science and technology are so closely related that it seems inadequate to teacher the subject without utilizing the technology that science has given us!

I want to have my students use technology in the classroom, but without the classroom being equipped with the proper technology to support it, I am less able to provide opportunities to support them.

This project will provide my classroom with the basic technology to reach my students in a way they haven't been reached in the classroom before!!
