I have incredible students who are goal-oriented. They have learned to always do their best. Their goal is to amaze themselves with what they can accomplish. They are determined to do better and find success in all they do. These students are eager and willing to learn in the classroom. They have faced many challenges and policy changes but continue to grow and adapt. My students would prefer hands-on learning and team building. They see the need to help others and build community while still applying GRIT as they work toward their own personal and academic goals.
I have the hardest working class!
The school is a Blue Ribbon STEM school. We work hard to incorporate science, technology, engineering, and math into all we teach. Focusing on STEM helps students prepare for the future where they will need solid problem-solving skills, builds confidence and cooperative learning.
My Project
We talk about STEM occupations all the time at our school. Our students will have the opportunity to not only design but to create and bring their projects and ideas to life with the help of these machines. They will gain a deeper appreciation of the STEM skill they learn.
The 3D printer and the laser engraver will challenge them and encourage them to find new and interesting ways to create.
For 3D printing’s use in education, it’s a matter of bringing objects out of the computer screen and into the real, physical world - and the into the hands of students for inspection, analysis, and other processes that benefit from physical manipulation.
