My Project

My students are unique because of their backgrounds. We serve a diverse population of students from many different walks of life. We are the lowest income school in our district and our students don't always get the same experiences as other students. Covid-19 has impacted our students tremendously.

We've seen an uptick in behaviors and I believe our students need an outlet.

These resources will help students create, explore, design, and collaborate on various projects, something they've missed out on. I've requested items that students can create various art projects with. For example, they can make self portraits with the skin tone paint sticks or make necklaces with the yarn laces. They can use the texture tiles to make intersting designs and the letter stamps to work on their literacy. Often, the projects they work on in the Makerspace can open doors to future opportunities they night not have otherwise thought about.
