My Project

My early childhood special education students love coming to school and get so excited to learn new concepts. Due to their developmental delays, my students need hands-on materials to learn and retain new concepts. My students need developmentally appropriate learning materials and thrive on exploring materials with all of their senses and need updated materials in order to do so.

My students love being able to touch and hold objects such as Magnetic Tiles, kinetic sand, and Play-Doh.

They need to see objects change and move, which they can do with the fine motor tool set and the different STEM activities. In addition, they need to smell scented and nonscented materials, hear sounds and even taste items, when appropriate!
