Using Our Senses to Calm Our Bodies

Help me give my students sensory toll to help them regulate their emotions when their feelings are big.

My Project

Many of my students struggle with sensory processing, which can make it difficult for them to focus, manage emotions, and stay engaged in their learning. Breaks that include sensory input- like fidget tools, sensory bins, textured items, and calming activities-help them self-regulate, reduce anxiety, and improve their ability to return to the classroom ready to learn. These sensory tools empower them to build important self-regulation skills that will benefit them not just in school, but throughout their lives.

Your contributions would provide these sensory resources to my classroom.

With your support, my students will have the tools they need succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
