My Project

Working with my scholars, I am consistently inspired and uplifted by their resilience and dedication to self-improvement and healing. As a member of the scholar support team, it is essential to me that my team and I are able to effectively support the social-emotional growth and development of our scholars each school year. The resources provided through this project will not only support our scholars this year but also ensure that these tools remain available for continued use in the upcoming academic year.

The scholar support team at DPHHS has been working tirelessly throughout the year to secure the resources necessary to support and empower our scholars.

The items included in this project will help provide the social-emotional wellness tools needed for our students to develop skills they can apply both inside and outside the classroom. The journal and pen sets, along with the journal prompt books, will allow scholars to engage in mindfulness exercises both at school and at home. By giving students their own personal writing space, they will have the ability to practice mindfulness wherever they go. The DBT and trauma workbooks will be invaluable during both scheduled and impromptu sessions, breaking down complex mental health concepts into accessible, relatable ideas that students can connect with in their own lives. The fidgets are excellent tools for self-regulation in the classroom, helping students manage stress and maintain focus when feeling dysregulated.

My scholars work diligently to overcome the many challenges they face, and it is a true honor and privilege to assist them on their journey. The resources provided by this project will serve as powerful tools to strengthen and empower them. Thank you for your generosity.
