Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is composed of 26 amazing Kindergarten scholars who are all very creative, resilient, and caring. Our school just opened in South Central last year so we do not have many resources yet, but we hope to have plenty in the future!

Every day, my students work hard to better themselves.

They have a great thirst for knowledge and use the resources they have to learn as much as they can. I am so impressed by their ability to learn new information and share it with others.

My Project

Learning through active play, struggling to solve puzzles through teamwork, synthesizing knowledge, and critical thinking are a few of the hallmarks of Breakout EDU games. The games, similar to escape-rooms, entice students to put their learning to use in "real-world" situations. Students must work together if they are to decipher riddles, unravel puzzles, break codes, find hidden clues and keys, and persevere in solving complex problems. I would love to have two Breakout EDU kits so my students can work in teams and engage in friendly classroom competition.

The materials from these two Breakout EDU kits will be used to reinforce skills from all academic subjects including math, science, history, language arts, dance, art, music, technology, and more!
