Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is located in East Harlem, NYC. I teach special education to a fun group of 3,4 and 5th graders! My students' abilities range from 1st-grade reading level to 3rd. I teach special education at a Title I school. Many of my students have a love for learning and are visual learners; they love art so I try to incorporate it any chance I get.

We can also use the Circut to create innovative bulletin boards, decorations for our classroom, and even create fun math and reading games.

My Project

Help me give my students a Circut, this device can do so many amazing things for my students. The use of a Cricut in my classroom will a difference in my student's learning by enhancing everything visual in our room. I can use it to create posters, anchor charts, name tags, team signs, whiteboard areas, library labels for Accelerated Reader books, encouraging student pencils, reading projects, student folders, student notebooks, student journals, class job charts, inspiring classroom quotes, fun and engaging lessons. It would help with behavior incentives, student book projects, student writing projects, cultural community projects, science projects, games, workstations, etc. These donations will allow me to re-direct more of the personal money I spend on classroom decorations to other curriculum items that my students will use, like reading books!
