We are an urban, diverse school. Students are driven and expected to take the next step of attending a University or Trade School.
Students are creative, hard-working, dedicated and well-rounded.
Most students are involved in extra-curricular activities and volunteer at several local community events.
Students have a thirst for knowledge that drives them to learn beyond the curriculum. They frequently come in after class to explore biology in more depth and examine the world around them with the tools we have available.
My Project
Micropipets are essential tools for any scientist doing investigations into the world of genetics. From DNA finger printing, gene cloning, bacteria transformations, to gel electrophoresis, these tools allow scientists (my students) to perform investigations studying DNA, RNA and Proteins.
Biotechnology is becoming a major force in the world at this time with Gene Cloning, Genetically Modified Organisms, and Gene Therapy at the forefront of discoveries that are changing the world.
With these tools, it would allow my students to examine this world and pave their investigations into the world of DNA. It might even lead to a future scientist leading to a earth changing discovery.
