Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my first year teaching in a special day classroom with students with autism. The items that I'm requesting for my students are mainly art supplies including paint and markers, along with sensory tools including fidgets. Art is a beautiful way to express yourself especially when you do not have to words to express how you are truly feeling. The sensory tools are a great way to help students get the sensory input that they need to help them to stay focus in the classroom.

These students deserve a classroom filled with tools and supplies to help their sensory needs and to be allowed to express themselves through art.

All my students are unique in different ways, some of them love to draw, some love to sing, and some love to dance. I believe this project will make their classroom experience feel more fulfilling and exciting. Thank you so much in advance for any help that we can get.
