My Students

The 2019-20 school year is my fifth year of teaching and second year teaching high school history. I am so excited to continue this chapter in my career and to continue to serve my students. The majority of my students come from traditionally underserved communities, and the work I do directly helps to reduce the achievement gap between students of color and students of privilege.

Due to the inequitable distribution of funding between schools in traditionally underserved communities and communities of privilege, the burden of buying basic classroom supplies often falls on school staff and teachers.

The funds raised through this project will directly support my school and its students.

My Project

These materials will help my classroom run smoothly day-to-day and support students' learning.

Tissues and hand sanitizer will be very useful, especially in the upcoming winter months, for students with the sniffles.

Pens and pencils will help them write their amazing essays and short answers without fail. The Paper Mate pens are for me - I like to grade in style! Loose-leaf paper is needed for my over-achievers who like to add on to their writing. Whiteboard spray will keep me from having to use my hands (as I often do mid-lecture) to wipe the marker off our board.

Ms. Eichensehr Mastery Charter School - Shoemaker Grades 9-12

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.
