My Project

For the 2022-2023 school year, students in my Holocaust Literature class will focus on the theme of Upstanders and Bystanders. Using the novels and memoirs as independent reading, students will learn about various figures from history who, despite the risks, stood up for what was right.

Students will also gain experience with independent reading, cooperative learning, and reflection writing to better prepare them for college.

The journals will serve as a place for students to reflect upon the moments in their lives where they acted as both upstanders and bystanders. The entries in these journals will serve as source material for publication later in the school year.
