My Students

Hi! My name is Amanda Nalwasky and I am a Pre-k teacher at the Richmond Pre-k Center! I have been an early childhood teacher for 13 years and it is truly a passion of mine. I love to see the children learn and grow as the year progresses. All of my students are between the ages of 3 and 5 and many are English Language Learners. I want to help make their first school experience as enriching as it can be! I know that by using donors choose that this will help make it possible! Thank you!

My Project

Reading in my prek classroom is so important. It helps students to connect to our learning and see themselves represented in these stories. Books help students to understand new topics and to learn and grow. These books will add to our themes each month and will help bring cultural awareness to the students. Reading books in early childhood is so important for their development and will introduce them to early literacy. I know that the students will love listening to each and everyone of these stories and hopefully will become life long readers!
