Upgrading the Technology Needs for Our Music Class

Help me give my students a Lenovo Yoga 7i 16" WUXGA 2 in 1 Touch-Screen Laptop - to improve and facilitate music recording and production at Triad.

My Project

We are blessed at Triad to be able to offer our incoming high school students who have a minimum G.P.A of 2.0 the opportunity to enroll in a music performance elective class. I have seen rising interest from students at Triad (both from those who are enrolled in music and many who are not) in learning and using music recording and production software. I have years of personal experience using recording software such as AVID Pro Tools and Ableton Live. I know of the great demands that recording software poses for PCs and laptops.

The current desktop computer that was donated to our school last year is simply not built for music production.

We need a laptop that has sufficient RAM, fast storage, ample hard drive space, and a decent screen size to name a few requirements.

The Lenovo Yoga 7i will solve many of the current issues we face. It features a good mix of CPU cores and clock speed, lots of USB ports, stable operation, and great support. It is an affordable laptop that has the capacity to meet the needs of our music program and specifically recording technology and production.
