Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a sweet group! They live in an area with an 85% poverty rate, yet they are very resilient. They love helping each other and serving others. Every day, they are engaged in lessons and love to ask intelligent questions. They add a lot of humor to my room, too!

They love reading, math, and playing sports outside.

They're always pushing themselves to expand their learning, which keeps me on my toes! They work hard and are going to be incredible future leaders of our world.

My Project

My students LOVE having a wide selection of books to choose from my library. Some of my more reluctant readers love having something visually excited to look at while they read. While I have many chapter books in my library, I do not have many comic books, or graphic novels. My students are interested in various superhero characters, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dog Man, Star Wars, and various Pixar movies. They will have SO much fun enjoying these books! I hope to make lifelong readers and learners out of my students. Please consider donating!
