My Project

I am requesting mindfulness activities like coloring, LCD board, and stress balls to give my students a space in my English classroom to unwind from their daily stressors. I already have a "cozy corner" in my room where my students gravitate to on their off periods so it would be nice to have other items in that space for them to use.

My goals for this project is to give my students and previous students a space where they feel safe to just be themselves and relax.

My students are usually busy with after school activities and taking care of their younger siblings that I have notice they do not know how to just sit with themselves without reaching for a phone to distract them. These items will hopefully remind them that they can be with themselves without having to scroll the internet.

My students are special because they work hard both in and out of school and I would like to give them something that would just be for them. I know high school can be a rough time for a lot of kids and this addition to my cozy corner will give them their own space, especially on those rough days!
