Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Recognizing the profound and vital need for enriched Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) experiences tailored to the unique learning profiles of students with special needs, these STEM-specific toys and coding robots will transform my school's overarching STEM education strategy.

My goal with this project is to engage my students in hands-on STEM exploration that is accessible, regardless of learning styles.

By utilizing STEM-specific, I will encourage critical thinking, creativity in design, and, for the advanced learners, collaboration through teamwork-based challenges with the ultimate goal of increasing student engagement and participation, offering alternative learning pathways.

I teach a variety of exceptional learners with varying skill levels. For instance, my early learners excel at exploring objects, figuring out how they work and recognizing patterns, especially when there are rules to follow. On the other hand, my advanced students are sharp observers, are skilled at making predictions during science experiments, and, with guidance, can be extremely detail-oriented – all valuable skills in STEM careers.
