My Project

Enhancing Anthropology Education at Waipahu High School

As a dedicated Anthropology teacher at Waipahu High School, I'm seeking support to bring dynamic, hands-on learning experiences to our 12th-grade special education students.

We aim to enrich our curriculum with the following vital teaching aids:

Anthropology Cranium Set: This set includes replicas of various human and primate skulls, crucial for studying human evolution and biological diversity. It provides a tangible way for students to explore the physical aspects of anthropology, enhancing their understanding of human history.

Identifying Skeletal Remains Kit: This kit offers a practical approach to learning about human osteology and forensic anthropology. It's essential for teaching students how to analyze and identify skeletal remains, a fundamental skill in anthropological studies.

Who Owns These Bones? Kit: This engaging kit encourages students to delve into the ethical and legal aspects of anthropology. It's a vital tool for understanding the responsibilities of anthropologists in handling human remains and artifacts.

Introducing Anthropology: What Makes Us Human?: This resource provides a comprehensive overview of anthropology, from cultural practices to biological aspects. It's crucial for giving students a well-rounded understanding of what it means to be human.

These resources are essential for providing a diverse and inclusive learning environment. They will help make complex anthropological concepts more accessible and engaging, catering to the varied learning needs of our students. Your generous support can ignite a passion for anthropology and help our students gain a deeper, more meaningful understanding of the human experience.
