This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a Math and Science teacher in Bronx, New York. For the past three years, our city and school communities have been hit and hurt by unexpected changes that forever altered our lifestyles and routines. Despite our best intentions and efforts to support our students, we continue to face challenges resulting from deepened learning gaps, limited socialization, and a reduced education budget.

I love my students' can-do attitudes toward academic barriers and taxing home circumstances.

Each of them brings a unique perspective and determination to our financial literacy project. The resources we're requesting will significantly enhance their learning journey.

1. *Double-Sided Mounting Tape*: This seemingly small item will allow us to creatively display financial charts and infographics, making complex concepts more visually engaging and accessible.

2. *Broom and Dustpan*: A clean and organized space fosters a conducive learning environment.

3. *Neon LED Strip Light*: These vibrant lights will not only add an exciting aesthetic element to our classroom but also serve as a visual aid during discussions on financial trends and data analysis, making the subject matter more captivating.

4. *WD-40 for Whiteboard Maintenance*: Maintaining a clear and clean whiteboard is essential for effective teaching. WD-40 will ensure our whiteboard remains in optimal condition, allowing for seamless explanations and note-taking.

5. *3 in 1 Wireless Charger*: In today's digital age, ensuring our students' devices are charged and ready for interactive learning activities is crucial. This charger will keep them connected and engaged throughout our lessons.

Our goal for this project is to empower our students with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed financial decisions! With the right resources and support, they have the capacity to excel and become financially savvy individuals who can positively impact their communities.
