My Project
My students must keep up with the latest advancements in technology and financial literacy to understand the importance of protecting their personal and financial information. Education is evolving every day, and so is the way we manage money in a digital world. In my classroom, students are eager to learn how to be safe online and how to protect their personal information. We currently lack the hands-on resources to teach cybersecurity and its connection to financial literacy, so I would love to provide tools like cipher decoders, invisible ink pens, cybersecurity-themed children's books, and clipboards to make learning both fun and impactful.
Students often struggle to grasp how online safety relates to protecting financial information, but with cipher decoders, invisible ink pens, and engaging books like *"Chicken Clicking"* and *"Webster's Email"*, they can see firsthand how encryption works to protect important data.
Clipboards will allow my students to be mobile as they work on interactive activities throughout the classroom. These tools will teach them how to secure their personal information online, which is crucial for managing finances safely in the future. Through these hands-on activities, students will learn that protecting their financial data can be both exciting and essential.
Helping my students make the connection between cybersecurity and financial literacy will prepare them for a future where digital safety is key to responsible money management. Just as comic books inspire reluctant readers, these engaging materials will spark curiosity for both technology and financial responsibility in my students. They’ll love cracking codes, reading stories, and uncovering hidden messages while building skills to protect their future financial well-being.
