My Project

I work in a school that has a high population of low-income and even homeless families. Because of this, many of my students do not have many educational experiences or learning reinforcement opportunities at home. This means that it is my job to find ways for them to learn and retain all the information needed to be successful at school in the few hours we get to spend together each day. My students are my babies and we are a family in our classroom. As a family, we work to help each other and enjoy learning together.

Secret Stories will help create memorable meanings behind the tricky phonics rules first graders encounter with fun and unforgettable stories to attach to each rule.

I cannot wait to use these stories to teach and reinforce the different phonics rules. English is a tricky language with so many different rules to try and remember. With these stories, my students will have a chance to learn these rules with fun and memorable stories attached to each rule. AU and AW are in love so they say "ahhhh" , along with many other stories.

Please help make this a possibility to incorporate in my classroom this year, as I work to teach my kiddos not just to be fluent readers, but also to be rockstar writers as well.
