Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Traditional resources in the 21st Century are just not enough to spark students' interest in learning. "Great teachers show their students how to move mountains for themselves". I want to open the minds of my students and empower them to reach their ultimate goals in the fields of Math and Science.

My students come from many different backgrounds.

Most of my students are Hispanic. They love to create and explore concepts when conducting experiments both in Science and Mathematics. The majority of my students come from a low socioeconomic status; therefore, many of my students don't have access to any type of technology at home.

My Project

Having a laptop and an iPad will enable my students to learn through the use of centers doing virtual labs in Mathematics and Science. Students will develop a deep understanding of challenging concepts through use of programs like Gizmo's and Mega Math. These virtual labs are ideal for small groups, individual exploration and whole class instruction providing the optimal experience for every child.

With a laptop and an iPad my students will have two centers in the classroom using technology to expand their knowledge and empower them to become future scientists, engineers and mathematicians.
