Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day would be the students entering the room and copying their HW and "do now right away". Next the students will take notes on the PP presentation. After teaching the lesson, the students work on their independent practice page and when they are done I would like them to work on math website.

My students are very loving children that are seeking love even from teachers.

The school community is very welcoming and we love each and every one of our students. The students do not come from the best neighborhoods and many of their parents either work a lot or they are just never home. The students need people who care about them and at my school we care about our students and we want them to succeed in school and in life.

My Project

Right now in my classroom I only have a laptop. That laptop is used to set up PowerPoint presentations on the white board. I would love to have a desktop for my students to use when they are finished with all there classwork. There are many math websites the students may use to practice or review the math we are learning. I feel that having this computer will encourage students to do better and allow students to be more engaged and interested in math.

This donation will change my students' lives because some of the students do not even have computers at home.

By allowing students to have access to a computer you are giving them skills and knowledge they may need when they go to high school. Students love using computers and if we had a math program for them to use on the computer when they are done with their work they may be more excited about learning.
