Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 10 high school students who are on the spectrum. My students are motivated and eager to gain new skills. They are focusing their time in school on preparing for life after high school; that looks different for every student. Each student has individual goals and visions for their futures however, a common goal for all of them is to gain independence.

My students are looking forward to being as independent as possible after high school.

My Project

Having a printer will allow us to print out interview forms, ID forms, and other documents to help with writing. My students main goal is to work on transition skills in order to be as independent as possible after high school.

With this awesome printer my students will be able to practice how to fill out forms and work on writing as a form of communication.

Transition skills include being able to fill out important documents to obtain services. For example forms to get an identification card, interview forms and employment forms.
