Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As part of our kindness theme this year, we are making postcards for children who are sick with cancer. Liv Like a Unicorn is a group that makes care packages for sick children.

Empathy for others is the main focus of this project, and so far we have colored over 100 postcards, and we are still coloring!

Some of the students thought we could also include bracelets with inspirational messages. Others thought we could sell bracelets to raise money for this organization. Both are great ideas but both will need more beads and string!

This lesson will help teach students empathy and compassion for others. They will learn that even kids can make a difference in the world.
