My Project

My classroom is made up of different cultures and needs. All students want to see themselves in books and materials. Not all students learn the same. It is through these differences, that students learn about community and acceptance.

This project not only helps students learn about different cultures, it helps students feel like they belong.

This project includes items that help students experience different cultures through fiction and non fiction text. It also helps students who are unable to sit in traditional classroom seating, the opportunity to find a way to refocus, address their needs, and use materials that allow them to continue leaning.

Students will use the table top communication center to help organize the books and resources included in this project, as well as other activities related to different cultures and skills. By keeping everything organized, it allows easy access for students to use the materials in class.
