This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are diligent, hardworking, and deeply motivated to succeed academically. However, no matter how dedicated my students are, they cannot do it alone. Students only have the tools and resources their school and their teacher can provide them with. They have the basics they need to learn in my science classes, but there's a whole world of different technologies out there which I know would so enrich their learning experiences. My students yearn for more than just textbooks and worksheets.

My students deserve a chance to interact with their science lessons in the most vibrant, comprehensive, and technologically-modern way possible.

They crave a Science Classroom filled with resources, adventure, and exploration!

My Project

As fascinating as I can make my lessons as a teacher, at some point my students must demonstrate their understanding of a topic to me. Usually, students don’t have much of a say in how they express what they know. They’re expected to either write about a topic or take an assessment about it. Needless to say, not all students demonstrate their knowledge best through writing or tests.

These poster-makers will allow students to create digital visual representations of the subject material and then print out their student products!

These products will then be displayed throughout the classroom, earning student and teacher accolades alike while helping other students learn the material in a more visual fashion. Now, instead of students demonstrating topic mastery through tests or essays, they will also be able to compile digital artworks or presentations to showcase their knowledge as well!
