My Students

Our school is a wonderful place filled with bright students. As with many children, they do not have many opportunities to learn about current events with age appropriate material on their reading level.

Our school is a small neighborhood school in an urban setting.

Approximately 80% of our students are eligible for free or reduced priced meals. Although they may lack the advantages of peers from more affluent settings, they do not lack energy and enthusiasm!

My Project

With this subscription, students will learn about what is happening in our world and will learn how to form opinions based on facts they learn. They will have access to nonfiction material that is both relevant and interesting. After the magazines are used in the classroom, they will be able to keep them to share with their families and reread.

Reading is an important key to success!

By providing current interesting material, you will be helping our students succeed in reading while creating a greater understanding of our world. You will also be helping to develop life long learners that take an interest in what is happening in our world and form opinions about current events. You will be helping to develop responsible citizens that care about our community.
