My Project

In 10th grade English, my students are learning about empathy and different perspectives. To teach them this, I introduce different styles of writing to show my students how writers can make us see their perspective and empathize with them, regardless if we have anything similar to them or not.

By helping with this project, you would be building up my classroom library to help students learn about different perspectives than their own as well as help my students feel seen in my library.

It is very important to me that I have books in my classroom that discuss kids their age from all different backgrounds. Not only will this help them feel seen, it will encourage empathy towards society.
