My Project

Fostering a sense of understanding and accepting is important and is the message I convey to my students. I love when my students listen and learn about each other through books or from one another.

The goal is to have students begin to understand their differences and celebrate their similarities.

The books selected are to help students continue on the path of acceptance and tolerance by learning more about the people they share the planet earth with. Each book highlights stories of various ethnic groups for students to learn about as well as reflect on their own identity. The books are to help them manage their emotions in becoming good citizens of the earth.
