My Project

I'm excited to propose a hands-on lesson for two special needs high school classes that will bring the fascinating world of biomes to life! While our students are at different learning levels, one thing we know for sure is that they thrive on engaging, creative projects.

To spark their interest in biomes, I want to provide them with visually stunning books that feature simple language and captivating images.

These books will not only ignite their curiosity but also encourage lively discussions about the natural world.

But that's just the beginning! We’ll take our learning to the next level by creating our very own underwater biomes. Each student will craft a miniature fish bowl using mason jars, complete with fake fish, vibrant plants, and colorful aquarium rocks. These DIY projects will allow them to express their creativity while deepening their understanding of biomes—plus, they’ll get to take their unique creations home!

Join me in making science exciting and accessible, as we dive into the wonders of biomes together!
