My Project

Students have been negatively affected by COVID-19. Over the last 3 years, our students have missed out on endless learning opportunities. The kindergarteners we are getting have not yet had many social or school experiences. We need to set the tone for a successful school career by welcoming them into a magical world where learning is fun. The resources I have requested will help students learn in a clean, comfortable and energetic environment. They will love coming to school and build a lifelong love for learning, which is our goal in the K-2 classroom.

Our Title 1 team has selected some items that will help our school year go smoothly.

Ink will allow us to print paperwork for students throughout the school year. We also need to print assessment graphs to send home to families for good communication. Disinfectant wipes and tissues will allow us to keep the classroom clean and germ free so kids can learn. Gum will create oral stimulation, which serves as a fidget and minimizes personal distractions so students can focus on learning. The snacks we have requested will help feed hungry bellies so that they don't get in the way of learning throughout the year. Kids who are fed well are ready to learn and happy! Lastly, we have requested decorations to

create a welcoming under the sea environment where students are excited to come and happy to learn. The command strips are to hang the students sight word hooks. We moved classrooms this year and are decorating a new space. We need to rehang our student sight word hooks and the stickiness was lost when we took the hooks off the wall in our old room.
