Under the Rainbow

My students need creative ways to develop new 5th grade science projects, like painting our hydroponic bucket lids in rainbow colors! We want to brighten up our garden so it shows our spirit.

My Students

My students are totally awesome learners, leaders, engineers, and citizen scientists! They are willing to learn about the world and put their best effort towards being a person who wants to have the persistence, dedication and drive it takes to be an individual who dreams big and gives back to our world by learning about the technology behind growing food in small spaces.

Our students are our hope for the future.

Sometimes having a curiosity and researching the possibilities in their young lives can change them to become big dreamers with drive.

My Project

These materials will encourage our students to care for and make our garden a beautiful place to grow, learn and inspire. We have been so fortunate to have our hydroponic garden funded as far as getting the equipment to grow hydroponics, but we need to protect our wooden bucket lids from the elements and with this supply of paint from our donors - we will be able to do so.

We want to grow greens for each grade level and we want every grade level to be able to identify their portable garden by a wonderful splash of color.

Collectively, all the grade levels will create a garden rainbow.

We grow a variety of veggies, lettuce, Bok choi, kale, tomatoes and many more. Each grade level learns how to grow a veggie and then teaches another grade level how to grow veggies. We show how easy it is to grow anything!
