Since spring is on its way, we are preparing to dig in the dirt in our construction area.
We will use the garden soil in our sensory table to make shift a construction site.
Then we will repurpose the soil to make grass head faces when the weather starts to warm up. Our students will use the plastic pots and wiggle eyes to make faces on the pots, Students will then use the soil from the construction sensory table to plant grass seeds in the face planters. Each student will be reminded to water and watch their grass seeds grown. During large group will graph the results from the grass head and discuss how plants grow. The grass heads will go home with students on Mother's Day weekend to give to their caregiver, The building blocks will be placed in the construction area to promote social emotional development and problem solving skills.
