Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students live in a low income neighborhood and often lack basic needs such as warm jackets, umbrellas and rain boots. With the rainy season upon us we have found that many of our students walk to school and with the rain season approaching we want to make sure students stay dry and can attend school on time. Students are sometimes late or do not show up at all due to not having access to umbrellas or extra clothes. Having umbrellas and boots will decrease our absenteeism and ensure that students have everything they need to attend school even on rainy and cold days.
