My Students

Music is the most universal language that exists. It has the power to bring people together from all different cultures and backgrounds. Based outside of the New York City metro area, the diverse students in my school are passionate about both music and performing. They begin taking music class in kindergarten and continue all the way through 8th grade.

The time spent in music class is an opportunity for the students to express their individuality as well as learn how to function as apart of a group.

The joy on the students faces when they know the music teacher enters the room is priceless.

My Project

Music instruction at our school has drastically changed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our students are no longer able to play wind instruments because of the high likelihood of spreading germs.

With your help, our students can continue their journey of learning to read, write, and play music.

Ukuleles are the perfect instrument for children because of their small size and cost effectiveness.

Our students have already been through so much with the loss of in-person learning since March. Now that school is on schedule to open in November, we need to be able to provide them with the opportunity to create music and harmonize together as a group. The musical education of our children shouldn't have to end because of the COVID-19 virus.
